CAMP Gen Alejo S Santos, City of Malolos, Bulacan — TWELVE individuals including four ‘Color-Games’ operators, three bettors, two other illegal gamblers, two drug peddlers and a thief were arrested during police operations in Bulacan oVer the weekend.
Acting Provincial Director PCol. Rommel Ochave of Bulacan PPO said that an anti-illegal gambling operation was conducted by Pulilan PS at about 1:00am early morning on Sunday at Brgy. Inaon, Pulilan.
The report was brought about by a call from a concerned citizen regarding an ongoing illegal gambling ‘Color-Games’ at a ‘fun-fair’/’peryahan’.
Thus, intel-driven actions verified the report that resulted in the arrest of the operators identified as 1) Marjorie Ancheta; 2) Josephine Marcelo; 3) Mary Grace Rivera all are residents of Cambaog, Bustos; and 4) Roy Santos of Tiaong, Baliuag; including three (3) bettors. Similarly, Pandi PS’ anti-illegal gambling drive led to the arrest of two (2) suspects who were caught in the act engaging in card bet-game ‘Tong-its’ at Brgy. Cacarong Bata, Pandi.
Recovered evidence were two (2) sets of drop color, two (2) sets color board, a set of playing cards and bet money in different denominations.
