CITY OF MALOLOS- Twelve Bulakenyos went job hunting and returned home with guaranteed work as they were hired on the spot during the Job Fair for Local Employment by the Provincial Government of Bulacan through the Provincial Public Employment Services Office held at WalterMart Malolos, Brgy. Longos in this city on Tuesday.
Governor Daniel R. Fernando, through his representative Micahdel Trine, thanked the 19 participating local companies that joined the job fair for giving the 312 registered Bulakenyos a chance to get a job as they continue to rebuild their lives after Typhoon Carina.
“Sa gitna ng mga hamon at pagbabago, patuloy tayong magtulungan upang mapalakas ang kalagayan ng ating mga manggagawa,” the governor said.
He also assured that the Provincial Government will continue to hold monthly job fairs in collaboration with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), reiterating its purpose to empower Bulakenyos by offering opportunities for their career advancement.
Meanwhile, Adrian Eusebio, a fresh graduate of Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering who was hired by Big Ben, a construction company located in Pulilan, Bulacan, thanked the company for hiring him on the spot.
“Inaanyayahan ko po kayo na tangkilikin ang mga ganitong programa dahil naniniwala po ako na makatutulong ito na mag-improve ang mga kagaya ko na isang [fresh] graduate and now, magkaka-trabaho na ’ko,” Eusebio said.
The majority of job seekers at the job fair were fresh graduates who were eager to begin their careers and be a part of the workforce.
Also, the job fair featured a One-Stop Shop offering convenient services from related government agencies including the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), and Social Security System (SSS).
