The Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) has reported significant accomplishments in October 2025, highlighting intensified operations against illegal drugs, wanted persons, and loose firearms.
Under the leadership of PBGEN Ponce Rogelio I. Peñones Jr., PRO3 conducted 758 anti-illegal drug operations, resulting in the arrest of 1,081 individuals and the confiscation of various substances.
In the campaign against wanted persons, 866 individuals were apprehended, including 223 Most Wanted Persons.
Peñones said the region also recorded a notable decrease in index crimes, from 364 incidents in October 2024 to 249 incidents in October 2025.
The intensified campaign against loose firearms yielded positive results, with 290 firearms accounted for.
Peñones commended the dedication of PRO3 personnel and acknowledged the cooperation of partner agencies and the public.
“PRO3 had a productive month in October 2025, stepping up its efforts against illegal drugs, wanted persons, and loose firearms. They conducted hundreds of operations, arrested over a thousand suspects, and seized a significant amount of contraband,” the top police regional director said.
“Crime rates also dropped. The police are attributing this success to the intensified efforts and cooperation with the community,” Peñones ended.
