The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) – Bataan 2nd District Engineering Office (DEO) has finished paving a 1.0-lane-kilometer section of a farm-to-market road in Greatest Manimas, Sitio Bani, Barangay Cupang Proper, City of Balanga.
ย
According to OIC-District Engineer Roland Rainier Victorino, the newly concreted road is expected to enhance mobility for local farmers and residents by facilitating a more efficient transport of agricultural goods and better access to markets and essential services.
ย
โ€œThe previously unpaved road posed significant safety risks, particularly during the rainy season. With this improvement, we can now ensure a safer path for the community,โ€ Victorino said.
ย
The project also involved the installation of guardrails and the application of thermoplastic pavement markings to improve overall road safety.
ย
Implemented through the convergence program of the DPWH and the Department of Agriculture (DA), the project was funded under the 2024 national budget at a total cost of P15.56 million.
