The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) โ€“ Bulacan 2nd District Engineering Office (DEO) has completed a P4.9-million road and drainage improvement project in Barangay Perez, City of Meycauayan.
ย
The improvements included 181 linear meters of Portland Cement Concrete Pavement (PCCP) and a 102-linear-meter lined drainage canal to manage rainwater flow and reduce flooding.
ย
District Engineer George Santos highlighted the benefits of the project, stating that the newly paved road offers a smoother and more durable surface, which significantly reduces travel time and improves driving comfort.
ย
โ€œThis work is part of our goal to build resilient infrastructure that supports both immediate and long-term community development,โ€ Santos said.
ย
This enhanced infrastructure improves road safety, mitigates flood risks, and strengthens local connectivityโ€”contributing to a more progressive and disaster-resilient Bulacan.
